April 2004
Yay!

I didn't expect Kingdom Hearts and Soul Calibur to have the heated poll that it had.  Kingdom Hearts was losing for most of the morning, but it picked up steam in the afternoon and barely won.  It was back to back poll mayhem.  The rest of the polls should be tame until it gets to the KotOR vs GTA: Vice City and SSBM vs MGS2.  I have Kingdom Hearts taking the division, and right now, I have my doubts.

Looks like I'll be taking that MCSE test on Friday for sure.

Here's a great pic that came about because of the Halo vs. StarCraft poll.

Yatta!

As of this moment, Starcraft is leading on the GameFAQs poll.  If there isn't a sudden surge for Halo votes, I'll be 23/25.  Castlevania: SotN pulled through as I thought it would, and Kingdom Hearts should take the win tomorrow.

The Chuunin Arc has finally ended.  The new opening and ending are very good.  I thought the first ending was alright.  The second one was nice.  I liked the third.  The fourth was okay.  The fifth one kicks ass.  The fourth opening is second favorite to the second opening.  I didn't like the third opening at all.  I can't wait to see and hear Tsunade.  ^_^
The rest of the anime I'm currently watching have been good.

I should be taking my second MCSE test on Thursday.  It's the second SQL test.

I'm legal now!

I actually wrote up some reviews.  =P

Kill Bill Vol. 2 was great.  I actually didn't expect Bill to die that way, but it was still great.  I can't wait to see all the deleted scenes from the entire Kill Bill movie when the special edition DVDs come out.

Another anime has caught my attention.  Shura no Toki.  It's a very nice sword/fighting anime set in the period after Sekigahara.  All it took to grab my attention was a single drop of a certain name, Miyamoto Musashi.  It was the first anime I've seen to include Musashi.  It further impressed me with the fight scenes.  April has been a good month for new anime.

I'm 15/17 currently.  Doom won as I expected, and so far, Xenogears looks likely to win.  The only 32 bit division match I'm concerned for is the Perfect Dark vs. Castlevania: SotN.  I'm pulling for SotN to upset Perfect Dark.

April Sweeps

As of this moment, the following anime have me hooked:  Midori no Hibi, Tenjou Tenge, Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai, Bakuretsu Tenshi, Aishiteruze Baby, and Koi Kaze.  KMmUS's second episode was able to pull me in with the relationship between Hikari and Takeru and the preview for the next episode.  Midori no Hibi's second episode set up a love triangle and I'm quite interested in that.  Tenjou Tenge's second episode was fucking great.  Souichirou and Takayanagi's fight was awesome.  I like the pacing of the story so far, and I'm fairly confident that it will get on my list after a few more episodes.  This anime is what I wanted Ikkitousen to be like.  Koi Kaze doesn't have the prettiest women or that great of a plot, but I still like it.  It'll probably be one where I watch it one time through and watch again a few years later.
Also, I forgot to talk about Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon last time.  Hina finally dumped Mamoru, but then he has to go off and leave.  Poor Usagi.  The next episode is going to introduce Sailor Luna.  From the preview, I already don't like it.  I hope this will be a limited type deal.

Current GFAQS contest score: 10/12.  Mario RPG beat out Street Fighter II, and I picked SF2 to win that match.  Hopefully, that will be my only mistake in the 16-bit division.  As long as Doom beats out Earthbound, I'll be in good shape.

I like that Shelton has beat HHH two times in a row.  Jericho returning to a face has also been great.  I've always liked RAW better than Smackdown, but I hope they give Paul some creative control so he can put the show back on track.  They could also give him free reign over the possible third brand of ECW/WCW.  I think I would prefer the latter if they do ECW.

Last note:  I can't wait to see Kill Bill Vol. 2 this Friday.  ^_^

No Friends

Due to circumstances, I had to return my beloved tickets to the Dear Friends Final Fantasy concert.  Hopefully, Nobou will come back and do this again some time. ;_;

Well, now for my new updates about other crap.

Gaara and his siblings showed up to help the Konoha Genin team!!! ^________^
Lee also showed up earlier and that was a badass moment too.
I also caught up with Null's latest release of One Piece manga.  The current arc is interesting enough.

Anime Junkies has disbanded!  I'm mostly happy, but I do have some respect for a few of the series that they have done.
It's April and that means new anime.  Here's a quick (1st episode) review of what I have seen so far.

Midori no Hibi 7/10 - Just plain freaky.  A fighter type guy wakes up with a girl on his right hand.

Tenjou Tenge 9/10 - Nice martial arts fighting and fanservice. A definite contender for my favorite anime list.

Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai 7/10 - Some girl appears and some guy gains power.  I think I will probably lose interest in it.

Madlax 5/10 - Looks like a Noir clone. I will probably lose interest in it, too.

Bakuretsu Tenshi 10/10 - Best action, characters, and fanservice.  Another definite contender for my favorite anime list.

Aishiteruze Baby 8/10 - This anime looks good...but it screams lolicon. >_>  If it weren't for the relationship between Kokoro and Kippei, I think I would have skipped out on the rest of this anime.

Koi Kaze 8/10 - This one looks like it has some potential. I guess you could call it a dramatic series.

Witch Corps is the only one I'm looking forward to seeing that hasn't been subbed(or aired as far as I know).

Currently, I'm 7/8 in the GameFAQs Spring Contest, and it's safe to say I will be 8/9.  The match I messed up on was Phantasy Star vs. Contra.  I had Contra, but switched when I decided to take the advice of some people who were analyzing that match.  In any case, Contra will lose next round anyways.

This site has lived through two of my birthdays, and I'm not one to celebrate such a thing.  This year, however, is the year in which I become an adult.  It is also my hope that I will be moving out of my parent's house by late July at the earliest, or early September the latest.  The day I become 18 means a lot to me, and I will take any pain and suffering to claw my way out of this house of cranes(L5R reference).
