Starts out with Hideki on his farm.  He looks in the mail and finds out that he wasn't accepted to Harete University.  He announces that he will go to Tokyo.  He arrives in Tokyo and starts seeing Persocons.  He says he wants one, but he can't afford one.  He is walking and suddenly declares stuff.  He says he wants to browse every porn website and a woman overhears.  He starts asking her for directions to some apartments with a weird name.  She tells him that he is there and that she is the landlady of the place.  She shows him to his room and he starts unpacking.  There is a knock at the door, and Shimbo and his Persocon, Sumomo, greet him.  Later, Hideki goes out to buy some stuff.  As he walks back, he finds a Persocon thrown out on the street.  He decides to take her home.  He examines her and starts looking for the switch to turn her on.  He then thinks the switch might be in her pussy area.  He takes a while, but he eventually turns her on.  She crawls towards Hideki and starts saying "Chii" and hugs him.  Shimbo knocks and wants him to go to take a bath with him.  He starts looking for some clothes for Chii.  Shimbo comes in and he hides the Persocon.  Hibiya comes and gives him some food.  Hibiya sees the Persocon and tells them to have a goodnight.  Hideki tells the Persocon that he won't throw her out and she hugs him.

Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - Lots of ecchi and funny stuff in the second half of the episode.  Some of the parts are very kawaii.

It's morning and he's barely waking up.  He sees a Persocon and remembers that he found one last night.  Shimbo comes in and sees the Persocon.  He thinks it's a normal girl at first.  Hideki tells him that he found her.  Shimbo tries to display the Persocon's system specs on the tv, but it shows "No Data." He then tries to connect Sumomo to her, but Sumomo crashes.  Shimbo then tells him to go to a guy who specializes in custom Persocons.  Hibiya sees that the Persocon is wearing Hideki's clothing and offers to give her some of her own clothes.  He finds Minoru's house and is greeted by some sexy Persocon maids.  Minoru tries to connect to the Persocon, but 4 of them crash.  Yuzuki, a custom built Persocon, tries to connect.  Some of Yuzuki's data crashes.  Minoru then mentions that she might be a Chobits series Persocon.  Chobits are Persocons that move of their own free will.  Minoru says he'll continue to check on BBS.  Hideki tells Yuzuki his phone number.  The Persocon also records his number.  Minoru sees this and says that her learning program is working fine.  Before Hideki leaves, Minoru tells him that no matter what, don't fall in love with her.  They get back home and get the clothes from Hibiya.  She gets dressed in Hibiya's dress.  He tells her that her name is going to be Chii and she hugs him.

Shoju's Rating: 7/10 - Some good stuff, but not as good as the first episode.

Hideki is reviewing his expenses.  Shimbo comes and tells him that it's time to go to school.  As he leaves, he teaches her that she should say itterasshai as he leaves.  He then teaches her that his name is Hideki, but then she starts pointing at everything and calling it "Hideki." At school, Shimbo says that he met Minoru on a BBS.  Hideki tells him that they didn't find much information on Chii.  They meet their teacher, Shimizu-sensei.  She is pretty just like Hibiya.  After school he starts looking for a job.  The sun is setting when he walks right into the path of a girl throwing out some water.  She wets his pants and starts apologizing.  She gives him a uniform to wear while she dries his clothes.  He hears something from downstairs and goes down to take a look.  A guy comes in and tells Hideki to get the shop ready to open.  The boss comes in and ask who Hideki is.  Yumi comes and explains to her dad who Hideki is.  He sees that Hideki is looking for a job and offers him a job there.  Hideki tells Yumi about Chii.  Yumi helps Hideki write his resume.  She starts calling him "senpai" and he starts staring her chest.  She tells him that her breast are E-cups.  She says she's telling him because he was staring.  He comes home and Chii hugs him.  He teaches her that she should say okarinasai when he comes back.

Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - More ecchi and kawaii-ness and my favorite character, Yumi, is introduced.

Hideki is standing outside a women's underwear store and tries to go in to buy some panties, but he can't work up the courage to go in.  He comes back home.  He sees that Chii is trying to change into some new clothes that Hibiya gave to Chii.  Shimbo comes and hears that he is screaming about panties again.  Shimbo suggest that Chii go buy the panties herself with Sumomo's help.  Hideki shows Chii what she is going to buy.  Chii goes out with Sumomo.  At school, Hideki is worrying about Chii.  Chii stops at a crosswalk and sees a truck passing with panties on them.  Chii decides to follow the truck.  Sumomo tells Chii that she can't buy panties from here.  They start going back.  Hideki is at the shop seeing if Chii stopped by already.  Yumi comes and surprises him.  He goes off looking for Chii.  He finds her and spies on her.  They reach the store.  The store has a half-off sale and Chii gets in the middle of a shopping rush.  Hideki tries to help her, but he ends up getting arrested.  When he comes home, Chii shows that she bought men's underwear instead of women's underwear.  Hideki goes back the next day and finally buys some panties.

Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - Ecchi and kawaii-ness. 'Nuff said.

Episode starts with Shimizu-sensei telling the class that there's going to be a mock exam.  At work, Hideki tells Yumi about his plan to study all day tomorrow.  At home, he tries to explain the Chii what studying means.  The next day he starts slowly studying.  He finally finishes a book and tries the English book next.  He looks for his dictionary, but he realizes that he must have left it back at his old house.  He goes out and buys a dictionary.  Chii goes into a bookstore for the first time and Hideki explains to her about the store.  Chii finds a picture book she likes and Hideki comtemplates what to buy, the book or the dictionary.  He decides that he will buy the book for her.  Back at home, Hideki teaches her to read.  Shinbo comes and visits to have Sumomo cheer for Hideki.  He suddenly remembers that he is supposed to be studying.  Shinbo lets him borrow his dictionary.  Chii then reads the rest of the book.  When Hideki returns to his room, he sees Chii floating and glowing in he middle of the room.  He gets Shinbo to check her, and he finds nothing wrong with her.  The alarm goes off and he realizes he hasn't done much studying at all.  He is about to give up, but Chii motivates him to start again.  The test goes alright.  Hideki says that he'll buy Chii something for cheering him on throughout his studying.

Shoju's Rating: 7/10 - Another cute episode.

Chii wakes up to a bright morning.  Chii then starts showing Hideki that she has learned the various names of things.  Hideki senses something is wrong with Chii.  Hideki tries to sneak into class, but he gets caught.  After class, Hideki asks Shinbo what could be wrong with Chii.  He tells him that he just needs to charge her up, and he has Sumomo show him how to do it.  Yumi runs up to him and tells him that he has to work today.  After work, he rushes home and finds Chii on the floor with almost no energy.  He hooks her up to the power adapter, but then the power goes off.  He thinks its the circuit breakers, but it isn't the problem.  He can't get a hold of anyone and he tries calling someone, but his phone is off.  He carries Chii and tries to go to his work.  As he runs, Chii loses more and more energy.  He just has to climb up a wall and he'll be there, but Chii falls off when he's at the top.  They both fall and Chii loses the last of her power.  Then Hibiya finds them and charges Chii in her room.  There's a nice little moment between Chii and Hideki when she's recharged.

Shoju's Rating: 8.5/10 - The high score is mostly because of the nice scene at the end.

Shoju's Rating: 8/10 - Uguu~...Tragidy is coming towards Hideki as Chii starts liking him more and more.  The foreshadowing of the problem is becoming greater, and that makes each of the next episodes that much better.

Shoju's Rating: 0/10 - What...the...fuck?!  A fucking clip show!!! What is the fucking point to a clip show this early in the anime?!  Worst.  Chobits.  Episode.  Ever.

Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - I'd like to slap each and everyone who was involved with deciding to make 'Chobits 9' a recap episode. :P  Why didn't they just show this instead of that recap shit!?  
Ecchi, comedy, and some small 'sweet' moments between Hideki and Chii is what makes this a nice episode, and this is what should be in every episode!

Shoju's Rating: 10/10 - The episodes before this one haven't made up for the horrible episode 9.  This episode does.  This side story involving Shimbo and Shimizu-sensei has put this anime very high in my list.  It'll have to prove itself a little more before it gets on 'the' list though.
