I finished watching Gravitation yesterday.
Right after, I went to Kazaa and got the 2 OVAs. It was a great series,
but Yuki was too much of an ass in the anime.
I think Chris Jericho's latest angle with
Christian and Trish is very corny. The type of acting they're trying to
show us is exactly like the old Romeo and Juliet angle that Spike Dudley and
Molly Holly did a long time ago. I'm not too particularly happy with this,
but I'm kept at bay with Foley's appearances and Undertaker's vignettes.
I think it's weird that the Sailor Moon Live
Action series has me on the edge of my seat. >_>
I've been entertained by this series since the beginning, but they threw me a
curve ball when some mysterious girl shows up and they say it's Mamoru's
girlfriend. The only Sailor Moon knowledge I have to go off from are my
season 1 uncut DVDs. I haven't read any of the manga yet, and I'm kind of
confused with the Live Action series's events. While the minor changes in
the story is refreshing, it's the major changes that throw me off. Sailor
Venus has the silver crystal and is being called the princess, and Mamoru
already has a girlfriend. I can't wait to see how things turn out.
I have a bunch of stuff I'd like to create for
this site, but I feel too lazy to create all of it. I've decided to just
write a portion of it here and just copy it over when I feel like doing it.
For the first thing I've been meaning to do, I want to make a shrine to Haruno
Sakura.
In my favorites section, Sakura is one of the few characters I have especially
taken a liking to. In the Naruto community, Sakura is usually described as
a completely useless character. She is only there to keep the team format
of 2 boys and 1 girl. All she does is scream about Sasuke. Even I
think that she can be useless at times, but I still love this character.
Among my anime merchandise: I have two different plushies of Sakura on my
wall, one 3" figure, one keychain of her holding pink fans hanging in my car,
another keychain of her in chibi form with my keys, a small fastener also with
my keys, and a pin. For merchandise, I have more Haruno Sakura stuff than
anything else. Kazami Mizuho and
Hamasaki Ayumi comes in 2nd and 3rd respectfully.
Compared to my other special favorite characters, Sakura is beat in personality
and skills. Yukino, Marone, Kaoru, and Lafiel all beat Sakura in one of
the two. So why do I favor Sakura so much? Unlike Yukino, Marone, Kaoru,
and Lafiel, Sakura is a lot like myself. Since the very beginning, when I
first started watching Naruto, Sakura stood out to me. As the series went
on, I noticed that she is practically a female version of myself.
Sakura always did well in the academy, but when it
came time to use that in real life, she hardly showed off any useful skill.
I feel I am in the exact same position. I've done real well in school, but
when normal life approached me, I couldn't think of a single thing that I could
do well in from what I learned in school.
Sakura was able to grow a little while in the forest during the second part of
the exam. Naruto and Sasuke were already knocked out, and Lee was out of
energy and strength. Sakura made a decision and cut her long hair to try
and mount an assault on the Sound Ninjas. She did surprise them a little,
but in the end she received a beating. Apparently Sasuke liked girls with
long hair, and that was the only reason she let her hair grow to that length.
Sakura gave it up as a sign that she had matured a little. I admire
Sakura's sacrifice, even if it was insignificant.
Her infatuation with Sasuke is much like my own infatuations with my own certain
people. Of course, I don't shriek their names out whenever I see them.
Then there's "Inner Sakura" which is much like my own "other selves."
Hopefully, this has somewhat explained my love of
the Haruno Sakura character. I will be rooting for her to be just as
strong as Tsunade one day. ^_^
