Looks like I was right about Naruto (in the sense that it's being aimed at kids).  Cartoon Network is going to show it with their other kid shows.  I can see some huge edits coming because of this, and of course the huge bitching from ignorant elitists.  Once again:

I come home from work and what do I see?  Answer:  A friend's IM that said Naruto was licensed.  I go to NarutoFan website and check out who got it.  So Viz was able to pay the biggest bucks eh?

Viz getting the license is a bittersweet thing. (More on the bitter side though.)  With Viz, I think they're going to put out a sub-par/average dub and expensive 3-episode DVDs.  More importantly, they have the power to get it on TV.  Naruto's content is not bad at all and will most likely end up showing in a Saturday morning slot.  I'd be very surprised if it instead goes to Adult Swim, but the chances of that are really slim.

I now have to take another break from the Anime internet community again, as I did when Fullmetal Alchemist was licensed.  Stupid fanboys/fangirls whining and bitching about dubs, edits, etc.  I made the mistake of looking at the comments of the newspost on NarutoFan, and my brain still hurts from reading only two pages of whining bitch posts.

Think about this:  If Naruto becomes popular, soon you won't have to pay $40+ for official metal headbands.  Tons of figures will soon be sold, great Naruto shirts will be made, and the kick-ass games will be translated and sold.  None of that would possible if Naruto is never licensed.

First Anime thing I have to mention:  Naruto Chapter 246.  The second chapter of the "Part 2" of Naruto.  Naruto's new clothes aren't that great.  Sakura's little changes (clothing wise) look interesting, but I'll wait until an official colored version comes out before I make a final judgment about it.  Her gloves look pretty cool though.  In this chapter, she finally shows that she can be useful and shows off her enormous strength.  I know she'll have even more badass moments in the chapters to come.  I eagerly await to see how Rock Lee and Gaara look now.

It was quite surprising to see that a Special Act of the live action Sailor Moon series was released.  It was a nice episode, but I was a little disappointed that they never went any further on the Nephrite X Ami relationship.  Rei also didn't suit up in her Sailor Uniform.  ;_;

I only recently got to see the fourth official trailer of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.  I honestly cannot describe how/what I felt when I saw that Sephiroth was alive.  I think he's just a clone like the one that killed Aerith, but seeing that he was there was mind blowing for me.
