Ruthless Aggression
Posted By: Shoju on June 26, 2002 1:35 A.M. (PST)

I got Neverwinter Nights; so I won't be updating for a very long time.  The game kicks much ass.

Verizon is a half-assed company...at least out here on the west coast.  I ordered a SDSL upgrade from my current ADSL, and according to them, I have the service.  However, I don't have the new modem they were supposed to send me!  I probably won't get it for another two weeks or so.  They better fucking hurry that shit.  I want 80k download and upload damn it!  >.<
Until I can use my real upload speeds, I won't be on IRC.  I will download new animes as they come out, but that's all I'll do.

Now here's the only real reason I decided to post something:
If you don't know, I am a fan of 'Profession Wrestling.'  Mainly, I only watch WWE.  I am a huge fan of Chris Jericho.  If you go to his website at www.chrisjericho.com, you can read his commentary.  Last time I checked, he was pissed off at 'smarks' for over analyzing his match with RVD at King of the Ring.
My condolences go out to him, there are many idiots out there.  However, as long as there are people, there will be idiots among them.  Idiots outnumber the wise people.  By how much?  I don't have any idea, but I do know they outnumber us.  Because they are idiots, they will not just sit back and be entertained.  They say and write stupid things based on stupid reasons and/or no reason at all.  Chris Jericho shouldn't even care about these people.  If he wants the truth, he should go to his own website's Forum.  His biggest fans are there, and they know when Jericho has had a good match or not.  Some punks with a website should not hurt him.  If you take a look at my own message board, you will see spam.  I don't care what is there.  If someone decides to post some shit about me, I won't really get that mad.  I'll just read what they say and post back about why they are wrong, right. or just stating a fact they think is an insult.  People have opinions, but opinions should never be taken seriously.  On my Quotes page, Quote 7 states this: "Listening to only opinions makes you a jackass.  Listening to only facts makes you a jackass.  Listening to opinions and facts makes you less of a jackass.  Finding things out for yourself makes you wise."
In this instance Chris Jericho is, and I don't like saying this, a jackass.  This my opinion of what I think of his lashing out.  While I understand that his commentary might be a form of getting some more 'heat' for his character,  this is just an opinion of that act.(If indeed the act is real.)

Next time I update will probably be when I get my SDSL up or something big happens.

First, King of the Ring thoughts.  Brock being the 'King' is fine with me.  I'm glad that Jamie Noble won.  That fued interests me for unknown reasons.  I find it funny that Hogan has become a 'jobber' even though I would rather have him winning.  Undertaker deserves a nice long run as champion before retiring, so him winning is good.  Mick Foley should have ended his career as Undertaker is ending his.

Next, as you can see, I'm updating as fast as molasses flows.  Don't blame me though, the fansubs are coming out slow.  It's probably just that the April sweep is coming to an end.  July sweeps should flood me with more episodes.  Gate Keepers 21 Vol. 2 should have come out in Japan on the 19th.  I think I hit the 10,000 hit mark already.  My friend ,Vegeto, better be making my accomplishment pic later today.

Today, I bought a nice figure of Skuld.  I hope to buy some more items like this at Anime Expo in two weeks.  If I don't update for a month, it's probably because I got Neverwinter Nights.

Neverwinter Nights 0\/\/nS j00z!

My stupid school counselor better fix my damn schedule.  They put me back in Spanish II after I dropped the class at the beginning of this school year.  I'm supposed to have a special class called 'Direct Studies' where I'll be learning C++.  I'm actually going to try to learn it this summer, and I'll just try figuring out how to work with Open GL, server architecture, and other stuff for MMOGs during the school year.  I'm not going to waste my time in a four year college. :P

Happy Lesson 9 - Episode is about the school's different clubs.  Mina and all the other middle school students are forced to join one of the school's clubs.  Chitose decides to do what Mina does.  They go to each of mom's clubs, but end up joining Nanakorobi's Literature Club.
Shoju's Rating: 5/10 - Not a very entertaining episode.

Tokyo Underground 10 - Rumina, Chelsea, and Ginnosuke are still trying to find the Company HQ.  They find themselves at the edge of the 'Under-globe.' Here, we are introduced to Sharuma Rufis, an 'ice' user.  She begins to attack Chelsea, but Ginnosuke whips out his Spirit Gun.  He shoots it, but all that comes out is confetti and a letter from Sui.  In the letter, Sui tells Ginnosuke that the gun is too powerful and must be reconfigured for Ginnosuke so he will keep the gun until then.  The water user Rumina fought at the school, also appears and after Rumina uses 'Violent Wind' twice, the floor beneath him crumbles and he falls.
Shoju's Rating: 7/10 - DAMN IT!  GINNOSUKE WAS REALLY GOING TO BLOW SHARUMA WITH THE GUN!  Ginnosuke is a killer after all...LOL.  This episode left on a nice cliff hanger.  TU 11 might actually get a 10/10 if the title of the next episode holds true to its words.

Chobits 10 - Chii decides to buy something for Hideki and goes to the bookstore.  She looks at the porno magazines and finds one Hideki doesn't have.  She buys that and the continuation of the picture book Hideki bought for Chii last time.  Hideki finds out, from Shimbo, that persocons need to take baths too.  Hideki tries to teach Chii about it, but suddenly he couldn't after seeing what Chii bought for him.  He asks Shimbo and he tells Sumomo to find a guide for taking a bath.  She comes up with the wrong things and Hideki tries to teach her himself the next day.  Hideki meets with Minoru, and he shows Hideki a picture with Chii in it.  In the picture, she is hooked up to many cables and has 'Chobits' on her leg.  When Hideki gets back, he takes Chii to the bath.  They go their seperate ways to take baths and Chii follows Hideki into the men's locker-room.  Hideki drags her back to the entrance of the women's locker-room where they find the Manager.  The Manager helps Hideki and shows Chii how to take a bath.  After, Hideki shows Chii the picture and asks if the persocon in the picture is Chii.  She says it isn't and he is relieved.
Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - I'd like to slap each and everyone who was involved with deciding to make 'Chobits 9' a recap episode. :P  Why didn't they just show this instead of that recap shit!?
Ecchi, comedy, and some small 'sweet' moments between Hideki and Chii is what makes this a nice episode, and this is what should be in every episode!

Damn Nets!

Since the Nets lost game one, I think the Lakers are going to be champions again. -_-'

.hack //Sign 9 - BT still gathering information about the 'Key of Twilight' from Subaru and Sora.  Tsukasa is asked by some player to care for her small Kuchiguso for 3 days.  When Tsukasa goes to check on the Kuchiguso in a Kuchiguso farm house, he finds that it is sick and must get an item called 'purple cherry' to cure the Kuchiguso.  Tsukasa goes looking for it, while Mimiru is asked to get information from Sora.  Sora will only give Mimiru, and the others, an informant if he is let into the group.  Mimiru agrees and when the others find out, they aren't too happy.  Then there is a scene where BT meets Sora and they have a small talk.  Sora tells BT that Kurim is only looking for the 'Key of Twilight' with BT only because he wants to keep it from the wrong hands.  If BT finds it before Kurim, he is likely to take it from her.  BT says that Sora was of some use to her today.  Sora winks at her and the scene goes back to a teleport gate.  Mimiru appears and, a few seconds later, so does Tsukasa.  He runs to the Kuchiguso farm and doesn't see Mimiru at all.  Mimiru follows him and watches him.  Tsukasa tells the small Kuchiguso to eat the 'purple cherry,' but instead it tries to stand up and puts its head against Tsukasa's hand.  Then it dies and the player that asked Tsukasa to take care of appears in time to see it disappear.  She gets angry and Mimiru comes and defends Tsukasa.  The player ask who she is and Mimiru says he is Tsukasa's friend.  Tsukasa kind of smiles at hearing this.  He gets up and tells the player that he is sorry he didn't make it.  Tsukasa and Mimiru go sit near a cliff.  Mimiru ask why he took the job of caring for the Kuchiguso.  Tsukasa then tries to leave, but Mimiru says that he can stay longer if he wants.  He sits back down and ask himself why he had to be chosen to do it.   Mimiru puts her hand on his and he says it's warm.  He also says that the Kuchiguso was warm and that when it was healthy, it was even warmer.  He says he didn't think a small Kuchiguso could be that warm, and that it would be bad if it went away.
Shoju's Rating: 10/10 - Mimiru putting her hand on Tsukasa's hand was definitely the best part of the episode for me. :P

Tokyo Underground 9 - Ginnosuke meets the man who saved him, Sui.  He sees that Sui is using a very powerful gun and want to learn more about it.  Ginnosuke then follows Sui after he goes on his way.  Sui finds out that he wants to have the gun so he can help his friends.  Sui explains that it is called a spirit gun and shows him the power of it by shooting a waterfall.  The waterfall turns to ice and Ginnosuke asks if he can have the gun. Sui gives him a list of the parts needed instead and goes off looking for them.  Sui decides to help him search.  When all of it is collected, it is built and tested on a big waterfall.  When the spirit gun is shot, the waterfall completely freezes.  Ginnosuke goes back to the village where Chelsea and Rumina are resting.  Rumina had found only Ginnosuke's glasses by some rubble.  When he told Chelsea, she said that he can't be considered dead.  Rumina starts to get into an arguement with Chelsea when Ginnosuke walks in.  Neither recognize him at first.  Rumina says that when they first met, he had worn glasses so has never seen him with out glasses.  The three of them then go off to search for Ruri.
Shoju's rating: 6/10 - A small moment where Chelsea is more gentle towards Rumina is the only think that was nice in the entire episode.

Ai Yori Aoshi 7 - Aoi sees some brochures for some hot springs and dreams of going to one with Kaoru.  She brings them home and hides them when Kaoru, Tina, and Taeko come back early.  They explain that their classes were cancelled.  Tina then told Aoi that they were going to a hot spring.  They arrive at the train station and Taeko tries to lead them to their hotel, but she leads them in a big circle back to the station.  Kaoru then looks at the map and quickly finds the hotel.  When they check in, they find out that Taeko had made a reservation for that day next year.  Aoi brings out some special credit card that quickly makes the hotel make a vacancy for them.  The Photo Club President then tells Taeko to take a picture of a ghost at some temple.  After some time, Kaoru and Aoi go search for her.  When they find her, a heavy fog developed and they stayed in the temple.  Taeko was asleep when Kaoru comforted Aoi.  Through the whole trip, Aoi looked strong so Kaoru wouldn't worry about her.  Now she confessed that she was very afraid and she was shaking.  Kaoru kisses her on the forehead and she stops shaking.  He holds her and they go to sleep.  In the morning, Aoi goes out and finds Kaoru looking at the sea on a hill.  This was the exact dream she had in the beginning when she first looked at the brochures.  Aoi then asks if they could go on a vacation like this, but only for the two of them.  They agree and go wake up Taeko to head back to the hotel.
Shoju's rating: 8.5/10 - Nice fanservice in this episode.  Kaoru comforting Aoi was quite nice too.

Oi...

Tokyo Underground 8 - A Company assassin, named Lon, gets two kids to hide Rumina's sword.  Rumina goes look for it, while Lon attacks Chelsea during the simulation of night.  Chelsea can only defend while Lon throws steal beams at her.  Ginnosuke goes to the electrical controls and turns the lights back on.  Chelsea sees that he is throwing the steel beams from above, so now she knows she doesn't need that much energy to deflect them.  The kids find that they made a bad mistake and go look for Rumina to give him back his sword.  They show Rumina a shortcut back and surprises Lon.  Rumina uses his techniques and blows Lon away.  Chelsea collapses and Ginnosuke gets lost.  Lon runs away and runs into Ginnosuke.  He wants to take out his frustration on him, but Ginnosuke is saved by some guy that uses fire.  Back at the Company HQ(I think), Ruri gets her bodyguard to eat with her.  She remembers the few times she eats with Rumina, Chelsea, and Ginnosuke and she begins to cry.
Shoju's Rating: 7/10 - Average episode.  The last scene with Ginnosuke looking at the fire dude makes me think they're going to 'like' each other...
