Shoju got screwed today...in a bad way...
Posted By: Shoju on May 30, 2002 11:30 P.M. (PST)

First, here's two reviews:

Happy Lesson 8 - Uzuki is at the center of this episode.  She meets a young boy named Kenta.  He thinks she is an angel because of her wings.  He wants to have at least one of her wings, but she won't give one to him.  She decides that she will play with him instead, and she plays with him everyday.  One day, it rains and when she goes to meet him, he says he won't be able to play any more.  He then disappears and Chitose and Uzuki find out that he had a disease and died already.
Shoju's Rating: 2/10 - Never liked this mom.  Only thing I found somewhat pleasant was at the end of the episode.  Uzuki hugs Chitose and says that for that day, she will be a crybaby.

Chobits 9 - A clip show showing scenes from episodes 1-8.  That's it.
Shoju's Rating: 0/10 - What...the...fuck?!  A fucking clip show!!! What is the fucking point to a clip show this early in the anime?!  Worst.  Chobits.  Episode.  Ever.

Biggest screw job of the night: Tough Enough 2 Winners.  One of the guys should have been a winner instead of Linda.

Kings, you better wipe the floor with those fucking Lakers tomorrow!

Ai Yori Aoshi 6 Review
Posted By: Shoju on May 29, 2002 4:15 P.M. (PST)

Ai Yori Aoshi 6 - Taeko was fired from her housekeeping job and went to Tina for help.  Miyabi agrees to let her apply for a housekeeping job at their house.  She puts Taeko through many tests, and eventually Miyabi lets her be the housekeeper.
Shoju's Rating: 6/10 - Another person is added to live at the house.  Only thing I liked in this episode was when Aoi was in Kaoru's room and Taeko came in.  Aoi had to hide behind Kaoru under a sheet and acted as Kaoru's hands.  Next episode looks interesting...

GTA III
Posted By: Shoju on May 28, 2002 9:50 P.M. (PST)

I got GTA III on Sunday, and I've been playing it since then.  I'm almost done completing the game.  Not 100%, but that don't bother me.  I did stop in between to catch .hack //Sign 8 from Akufansubs and Tokyo Underground 7 from Anime Kyokuten.

.hack //Sign 8 - In this episode, Mimiru basically waits at a location for Tsukasa to come.  BT is being mischievous and makes an alliance with Kurim.  Kurim and her will be able to get any information they want really fast.  When Tsukasa finally shows up, Mimiru tells him that she wants to protect him.  He says she can do whatever she wants.  He leaves and she is happy. ^_^
The scene then goes to the cat and the sleeping girl.  They say something about a book falling from a high place, and that it was destroyed without Tsukasa knowing anything about it.
Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - Mimiru sends Tsukasa a message to meet her.  She waits for a very long time.  That act of endurance and commitment has cemented Mimiru a place in my pool of favorite characters.  A 'Tsukasa and Mimiru' shrine is now in the works... :P

Tokyo Underground 7 - Rumina, Chelsea, and Ginnosuke go to the 'Underground.' When they pass through a gate, the Company releases a genetically developed guard dog to kill them.  Chelsea manages to bury it under some rubble and arrive at a small village.  Some kids annoy Rumina, and he goes after them.  The guard dog, Cerebes, soon appears and endangers the kids.  Rumina uses his special technique with the new sword and cuts the dog in half.  It disappears and the kids blame Rumina for bringing the dog from the surface.
Shoju's Rating: 4/10 - Nothing special.  First use of the Asagiryu secret technique on a creature.  There's still a little hope he'll use this technique on a human. :)

Go Kings!!!

I have seen the opening of the next Digimon series, Digimon Frontier, and I think that this season sucks.  They should of at least made a second season to Tamers.

It has been reported, on some message board, that Ayumi-sama is getting married! >.<
Apparently, she made the announcement out of the blue at a concert in Hiroshima.

Late Review

Small review of Happy Lesson 7:

Happy Lesson 7 - This episode was centered around Mina.  The school is having a competition with the school being divided into the 'White' and 'Red' teams.  Musuki and Uzuki are on the White team with Chitose.  Satsuki, Kisaragi, and Mina are on the Red team.  Nanakorobi signs Chitose up for every event.  Mina decides that she wants to make Chitose MVP of the competition.  Satsuki and Kisaragi find out and decide to help.  Musuki and Uzuki also end up trying to help, but all of them screw something up and makes Chitose lose each event.  Chitose tells Mina that she should just try her best, and she does in a relay race.  However, she barely loses the race.  Chitose says she did good, and she is happy.
Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - It was very nice to see Kisaragi and Satsuki working together. :)  Good comedy and small doses of ecchi makes this episode nice.  Yazakura making a small cameo is the only thing I find unpleasant.  They should center an episode around Yazakura. :P

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Bandai liscensed
.hack //Sign!!!!!!!!!!!

I seriously doubt any fansub group is gonna have quality as good as Elite-Fansubs.

Anyway, here's my review on Chobits 8:

Chobits 8 - Hideki makes it to the building where Chii is stripping, but Chii already left.  She ends up in some plaza where all the Persocons suddenly turn off.  Hideki sees Chii pass by and catches up with her.  When he grabs her, all the Persocons return to normal.  Hideki calls a taxi and falls asleep there.  In the morning he wakes up and notices that Chii has not awaken since last night.  He starts getting worried, but eventually, Chii wakes up.  Chii wants to work so she can get Hideki money to buy things.  So Hideki gets Chii a job at a candy store.  After she is done working, she hugs the manager.  The manager explains that Chii should only hug people she likes.  The scene goes back to that story she read in an earlier episode.  Hideki comes picks Chii up and go home.  Chii give Hideki the money, but he gives it back saying that she earned it so she can buy whatever she likes.  Chii then asks if she can hug him, and he lets her.
Shoju's Rating: 8/10 - Uguu~...Tragidy is coming towards Hideki as Chii starts liking him more and more.  The foreshadowing of the problem is becoming greater, and that makes each of the next episodes that much better.

Damn FS Releases...

Last night, Ai Yori Aoshi 5, Happy Lesson 6, Tokyo Underground 6, and .hack //Sign 7 were all released.  All my time was spent trying to get all of them.  I guess I'll review:

Ai Yori Aoshi 5 - Introduces two new characters. Minazuki Taeko and Tina.  Minazuki Taeko is an airhead, and Tina is a tomboy.  Tina is very much like Mitsune from Love Hina.  Kaoru passes out after tasting some of the liquor Tina brought.  Tina finds where Kaoru is staying and decides to sleep in his futon that night.  In the morning, Aoi finds Kaoru and is a little saddened that a girl is with him.  Tina explains what happened to Miyabi, and Aoi is relieved.  Later, Miyabi drinks the same liquor and passes out.  Tina takes advantage and gets her to let her stay with them.
Shoju's Rating: 6/10 - They are still introducing characters, so nothing special to take note of.

Happy Lesson 6 - This episode is centered around Kisaragi. ^_^  We find out that when Kisaragi was little, she had a childhood friend, Kanna.  Kisaragi and Kanna were going to take over the world, but then Kisaragi met Chitose.  At that point, Kisaragi wanted to do something that didn't need a reason to do.  According to her, "There is no reason needed to love another person.  That's what it means to be a mother." So, Kisaragi became a mother to Chitose and gave up world domination.
Shoju's Rating: 9/10 - An episode centered around one of my two favorite characters from Happy Lesson...of course it's biased. :P

Tokyo Underground 6 - A 'getting more powerful' episode where Rumina's grandpa comes back and trains Rumina, Chelsea, and Ginnosuke.  They train for about a week.  Rumina learns the Asagiryu secret technique.  Chelsea learns how to fight without her Gravity powers.  Ginnosuke...runs.  In the end, they go grab a treasure Rumina's family have been protecting for generations, the Kogarasu Maru.
Shoju's Rating: 7/10 - Grandpa's perverted ways of training Chelsea were very entertaining for this pervert.  The Kogarasu Maru looks like a very nice sword.  Though this anime reminds me very much of Flame of Recca, it looks very promising.  If they show killing, it would totally kick ass.

.hack //Sign 7 - This was a character development episode for Mimiru.  She meets a girl player named A-20.  They go to some dungeon that's supposed to very hard.  Halfway in, A-20 pisses Mimiru and she leaves.  She has a small talk with BT and Subaru.  Subaru seems concerned about Tsukasa.  Mimiru decides to go back to the Dungeon and finds A-20 still there.  They reach the treasure and Mimiru lets A-20 keep it.  At the end, Mimiru sends messages to BT and Bear telling them that she wants to talk about Tsukasa.
Shoju's Rating: 8/10 - Not super exciting, but it's nice to know Mimiru and Subaru care about Tsukasa.  First appearance of a 'potion' type thing in the dungeon.  Fights with the monsters aren't that bad.  There's still one thing I'm worried about:  WHERE'S THE MAGIC?!

Jericho lost... >.<

Eh?

I finally got around to watching Hellsing.  It's good, but I wish there was more.  Another character was added to my favorites list, Integral Wingates Hellsing.  She r0x0rz! :P

This page is now in the top 20 of my site...WTF...
If you guys max out my bandwith on Tripod for at least 3 days straight, I'll be able to get my own domain name, webspace, and a professional layout with no pop ups.

Chris Jericho meets Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match tomorrow!

Don't remember if I said this already, but I'll announce it again.  The Dragon Ball live action movie might be a trillogy. -_-'  There apparently is also a live action Akira movie being planned.
Ai Yori Aoshi is a new anime I forgot to mention on my last update.  It's pretty good.  It might receive a lot flame from the many similarities it has to Love Hina.
I finally saw the second part of Seisouhen OVA.  I liked it, but they should have shown the entire Revenge Arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

School's almost over...so these last few weeks are going to be very long.  In the summer I will try to update as much as I can, but I will be concentrating on learning C++.

I added my 13th quote because there are very stupid people who talk shit about me all the time.  Here is something I don't think is in my profile:  I hate 3 people, but I don't talk bullshit about kicking their ass someday.  I have already manipulated each of them for my own desires and entertainment.  They can talk all the bullshit they want because that is what makes them feel better.  I have already shown them that I am more cunning than they ever will be.  While they talk of kicking ass someday, they will always know I outsmarted them.  That, of course, can never be taken away from me.  I will someday write down how/what/why/who/when/where of my treachery.  I don't talk or think about them because they are not worth the effort anymore.  For now, I'll let them talk all they want because they can't ever top the things I have done to them.

Where do I begin...
.hack Sign is my favorite anime right now.  I have seen only five episodes, but the combination of MMORPG and anime has been good so far.  The only thing that can mess this up is if they don't put some sort of magic in there.  No magic, besides teleporting, has been seen at all in the first five episodes.  The music is also very good.
I will be going to Anime Expo 2002 in July.

Lots of things happened in the WWE.  First of course, the name change.  This is a horrible thing IMHO.  I personally don't care that Hall and Mr. Perfect were fired.  Jericho is a Hell in a Cell match with HHH...NOW THERE'S SOMETHING! ^_^

I have been working on a Marone shrine for this site.  It's just a little bio and pics of her.  This site is going to reach 10,000 hits soon.  The counter over there only counts unique visitors.  Go into the little marble thing under it and it'll tell you hits.  Of course most of my hits are from people wanting to see pics of Sephiroth and Ayumi-sama.
Speaking of Sephiroth, I no longer call him my god.  That job has gone to a new person... Ayu Tsukimiya from the anime Kanon.  My favorite line from her is, "Uguu~."

Kanon is a nice anime, and could have become a top rated anime in my book.  However, when they showed us what Makoto really was, it just turned stupid.  Also, when Ayu realizes that she's not really there and Yuuchi remembers what happened seven years ago, it was also stupid.  At first this seemed to be a serious anime, but it was really a serious kid anime.  It had a nice surpise ending though.
I have two new favorite characters from Happy Lesson, Satsuki Gokajou and Kisaragi Nimomai.  I also like Chelsea Rorec from Tokyo Underground.  Isuzu Ayane might become my favorite character too.  She is from Gate Keepers 21.  GK21 looks to be a good OVA.
It's too bad the 1 episode volumes come out 1 a month.
Release dates for Gate Keepers 21:

Vol.2 Jun 19, 2002
Vol.3 Jul 17, 2002
Vol.4 Aug, 2002
Vol.5 Sep, 2002
Vol.6, Oct, 2002
Last bit of news, THERE IS AN ONEGAI TEACHER OVA DUE AROUND OCTOBER!!!  The information on it says that Mizuho's mom and sister come visit again, and it's sort of just a 13th episode.
