I'm glad LoZ: LttP won.

Koi Kaze really picked up in the last two episodes.  Nanoka already confessing was a big suprise given the slow pacing.
Shura no Toki episode 7 had a great fight between Yakumo and Musashi.  I was wondering why the Anime wasn't showing Musashi's infamous two-sword technique whenever he fought; I should have known that they were treating it as a last resort type technique.  I have no idea what to expect now that they did a time shift into the future only 7 episodes into the series.

I love listening to Imamade Nandomo by The Massmissile, the 5th ending song for Naruto.  It's definately the best ED for Naruto so far.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 32 was as awesome as I thought it would be.  It's nice that Mamoru finally accepted a path to walk on.  Now they can start developing more of the Nephrite-Mercury relationship.  ^_^
I'm quite amazed that PGSM is a whole lot better than the anime.

The Last Exile ending was okay.  I would really have liked for Tatiana to hook up with Claus.  I'll write up a review for the series after I get back from Pacific Media Expo.

Vote LoZ: LttP next match!

I thought Super Mario World would have given Chrono Trigger some better competition than what it's currently showing.  My 128 bit division is all red now. -_-

The raw of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 32 looks awesome.

Last night, I suddenly got an urge to finish watching Last Exile.  I had only watched to episode 12 and stopped watching for some reason.  I really liked Tatiana since she was first introduced, but I like her even more now since her sudden change in attitude.  ^_^
Claus is a freaking player.  >_>

I really hope Kishimoto actually finishes Gaara's fight this week.  I want to see Naruto vs. Sasuke damn it!

I'll be attending Pacific Media Expo this weekend.  I'll put off writing the anime reviews until I get back.  I really need to study for the MCSE exams.  >_>
I'll have a full report on how the cons goes.  It'll be the first Anime con besides AX that I will go to.

My bracket is pretty much screwed now.  The 128 bit division gave me headaches when I had to choose the games.  Kingdom Hearts went down and so did my bracket.  I also picked Metroid Prime to win against LoZ: WW, but that looks like it was also a mistake.  I think FFX will win and I hope GTA: VC will take the win from SSBM.

Angel finale was great.  I thought the cliff-hanger ending was a good way to end the series and leave it open for a future movie or tv-special.  I liked Wesley's death scene, even though I didn't want him to be the one that dies.  I still think that the WB is fucking stupid for canceling such a good show.

I just watched the raw of Samurai Champloo 1.  I think it lived up to the hype it was given over at the GameFAQs's Anime board.  It will most likely rise past Shura no Toki for best April sweep anime.  Maybe even Tenjou Tenge.

Naruto 84 was a little hard to watch all the way through.  Sasuke and his past was the main focus in that episode.  -_-'

Castlevania is out, and it looks like Kingdom Hearts will be out as well.  I picked Kingdom Hearts to win that division, so if it does indeed go down, my bracket is pretty much done.  I'm 52/56.

I just finished watching Koi Kaze episode 6.  Koshiro is a bit more tolerable in this episode.  The series is still entertaining me greatly.  Here's a current ranking of April's anime:

  1. Tenjou Tenge
  2. Shura no Toki
  3. Tie between Midori no Hibi and Koi Kaze
  4. Aishiteruze Baby
  5. Initial D Fourth Stage
  6. Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai
  7. Bakuretsu Tenshi

I became uninterested in Madlax after watching the 2nd episode.
Tenjou Tenge still reigns supreme above the others because of it's great fights.
Shura no Toki comes in a close second for it's interesting fights and its simple minded protagonist.
Midori no Hibi and Koi Kaze are quite different, but I think they equal each other in terms of how the romance is evolving.
Aishiteruze Baby comes in fourth and beats out Initial D because of Yuzu's cuteness and Kokoro developing character.
Initial D is ranked pretty low because of its schedule of only two episodes every other month and because it's mainly focusing on only Takumi.
Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai seems like it'll be good to watch once through.  Nothing spectacular character development-wise or plot-wise has happened so far.  Showing fanservice of lots of tits isn't going to cut it.  I may lose interest in this Anime.
Bakuretsu Tenshi was at the top at the start, but when the episodes continued, it hit rock bottom.  I don't know what they were thinking, but the amount of character development they gave the cook in the first episode was way too much for the role he has played so far in the series.  If the cook becomes part of the plot soon, this anime could probably be better than Initial D.  It'll have to pull a Vandread-like move if I'm going to continue watching this one, and I don't mean lesbians.  =P

Metal Gear Solid was able to pull off the win against Final Fantasy Tactics.  I thought that CJayC was going to let the poll go on for an extra hour or so, but he ended it at midnight like always.  My bracket has been perfect in the second round so far, but it looks like I'm going to lose two points for the current poll.  I picked Castlevania: SotN over Goldeneye, and I don't think that even the day vote is going to sway it in favor of Castlevania.  I'm currently 50/52.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon has been going great.  I still find Sailor Luna annoying as hell.  I watched the raw of episode 31.  Poor Motoki got rejected Makoto.  The ending of the episode looks good.

I think I forgot to mention something about Initial D Fourth Stage.  The animation is a bit better and the races are as exciting as the past races.  The only problem is that it looks like the Anime will only be concentrating on Takumi.  They didn't bother to show Keisuke's race for the first team they face.  Keisuke's race is just as good as Takumi's.  I think it's a terrible mistake not animating it.  Hopefully they won't be doing this in the later episodes.

Gaara is still as kick ass as he was during the Chuunin arc.  I hoping that the fight would end with just that one chapter.  Hopefully, it will only take half a chapter next week to finish it so they can set up Naruto's fight with Sasuke.

Even if today is painful...

I want to believe that I can free my heart and go on.

No, I'm not being angsty.  I completely forgot to mention it yesterday.  Ritsuko Okazaki, who is the writer and composer for the Fruits Basket opening and ending, recently passed away.  The topic and the first line of this post are lyrics from "For Fruits Basket," the Furuba OP.  This is just my small tribute to a great song writer, composer, and singer.

Looks like I'll be going to the Pacific Media Expo for sure.  I should have no problems.

I think it sucks ass that the WB is pulling the plug on Angel, but it looks like the finale will kick ass.

I will be writing up a Naruto 83 episode review when ANBU-Aone release their encode.  Tsunade is one of my favorite characters from Naruto, and I want to try to review every episode of the "Search for Tsunade" arc.  The only thing, besides my own lazyness, that could slow me down is when I start working full time.

Hmmm.  Time to do a list.  Things to do/buy:

1. Contact lenses
2. Name change to Shoju Bayushi.
3. Scorpion Clan Mon tattoo.
4. Fans for room.
5. MOVE OUT!

Yep, that should do it.

I'm not a big fan of GameSpot.  Especially after they(CNet) decided to merge their board users into GameFAQs's own message board system.  I just read some of the latest articles about E3.  Final Fantasy XII has some interesting developments.  It looks like they're going to get rid of the random battles and make it on screen battling.  There will no longer be the sudden crash into a battle, the battle ending where you collect your Gil/Items/Experience will be gone also, and no more victory poses.  I'm still neutral on this game.  I won't get a good feeling of whether this will be good or not until the game comes out.  I'm still not too crazy over the character designs.
Sega said that they would unveil a huge announcement at E3.  Many speculated that they were going to get back into the console market.  Much to gamers' dismay, the "big" news was that they will be publishing the Matrix Online game.

It's so funny that Anime elitist are bitching about how Full Metal Alchemist will be butchered when they air it on Cartoon Network.  Sonchou is still going to sub it and I'm sure other groups will pick it up.  A group might pop up that will do just FMA like HaroHaro popped up just to do the rest of Gundam Seed.  They will still be able to get their precious FMA; so why are they bitching about a slightly wider audience watching it?  Perhaps it's because Funimation has the license?  They also licensed DBZ, and every elitist must know DBZ sucks ass.
Fortunately, they actually don't suck.  Funimation took DBZ from 4Kids.  4Kids is the company that is responsible for making shitty dubs.  Funimation released un-cut DBZ episodes.  They did an excellent job releasing and dubbing Fruits Basket and Kiddy Grade.  They even did a fantastic job dubbing the opening and ending songs of those Anime.  I believe FMA will get the exact same quality treatment as Furuba and Kiddy Grade.
As for the editing that will be done, I can only see blood being edited out.  Important scenes getting cut out?  Unlikely.  Given Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha's edit record, it should be a fairly smooth ride with possible slips here and there.

Gah.  Enough of that babbling.  In other anime news.  I like the upcoming episode for Midori no Hibi.  Seiji is going to go to the movies with Ayase.  Heh.  I think this is first anime in a while that went against my favorite "coupling."  I much prefer Seiji and Ayase than Seiji and Midori.
Koi Kaze is sort of frustrating to watch.  I don't mind the slow pacing or average animation(or the fact that incest is clearly a future occurrence =P).  It's just that Koshiro is a dumbass.  Nanoka needs to slap him.
Watching Bakuretsu Tenshi gives off the exact same vibe as Vandread.  I hope Gonzo makes it turn out just as good too because right now, it is a bit lacking.  The cook needs to see more action (preferably with Meg ^_^).

Wow.  Long post this time.  Here's a cute pic.

E3!
Posted By: Shoju on May 12, 2004 3:00 A.M. (PST)

Today was the first day of E3, and lots of information was released.  Halo 2 got a release date.  Doom 3 got an estimated release range.  EA Games announced X-Box Live capabilities for their games.  Most importantly, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children got an ENGLISH trailer with Tifa in action!  She is apparently fighting L/Rods in Aerith's church.

Inane finally released their version of Chapter 214.  I give credit to BakaFish for having some nice coloring, but the PaintPixel coloring kicks so much more ass than theirs.  They even decided to color in the last page and an older title page from Chapter 142 on top of the regular title page.  It would be cool if other groups, like Null, to start coloring some pages.  ^_^

Oh yea, I started playing Final Fantasy VII again last week.  I forgot to mention it yesterday, but two days ago I actually got Aerith to learn her fourth level limit break.  The game time was just under 24 hours when she finally got her second third level limit break.  When I tried to see if she was ready to learn the fourth level one, she was able to learn it.  It was a very helpful limit break when I fought the dragon and demon gate bosses in the Ancient Temple.

Well, the Dear Friends Final Fantasy concert was held earlier today.  ;_;

Surprising news today when I read that Full Metal Alchemist has been licensed by Funimation.

I saw some new scans for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children yesterday.  The best thing I got from it was that the Turks will be in the movie!  Well, at least Reno and Rude will be.  They also showed how Tifa, Vincent, and Marlene look.  Tifa looks like Aki from the amazingly average movie that was Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.  I think her new clothes look badass.  Vincent looks badass too.  I can't wait to see what Yuffie, and possibly Elena, looks like.

I'm currenty 40/42 in the GameFAQs contest.  ^_^

I'm a big fan of the Shikamaru and Temari couple.  I look forward to seeing how Gaara will own Kimimoro and the big showdown between Naruto and the new curse-seal-powered Sasuke.

In the latest One Piece manga release from Null, Robin was completely frozen by Aokiji.  I hope Luffy beats the shit out of him.

I'm scheming to see if I can go to the Pacific Media Expo and see the concert too.  I should find out by the end of this week.
